  • Hoof Boots      Under Construction

There are many types of Hoof Boots available. Hoof boots offer an essential tool for horses who still require hoof protection. The boot you choose to use should be firstly a snug fit to reduce rubbing and movement whilst on the horse, and secondly easy for you to use. If you have small hands or arthritis for example, and old mac will be easier to use than an easy boot bare. For more information and comments on the various different types of boots click the links on the left.

If the boot is easy to use the chances are they are more likely to be used more than something which is frustrating even thought the horse may need it. All boots have their good and bad points so it is worth finding out about them and hearing other people's experiences and opinions.

If you have had experience of any of the boots featured and would like to leave feed back about your experiences with any of the boots featured, or would like to suggest another boot to add to this page please fill out the contact form. Thanks for your time.

Why Boot?

Hoof boots allow proper hoof flexion whilst protecting the sole from stones and the entire hoof from excess wear. During the first year or so having been de-shod the rate at which the hoof grows and the quality of material produced can be substandard and can wear down quicker than it grows. This is where hoof boots play a very important role. They allow the shoes to some off and for the horse in transition to remain comfortable whilst not interfering with the hoof mechanism.
